Crabbie Bowling 2023
After an enjoyable afternoons bowling at Crieff Lodge Ben Ledi No.614 emerged as the victors of the Crabbie Bowling Competition. Having tied on points with runners up Lodge St. James No.171 it all came down to shots for and against with 614 having the better score.
Our thanks once again to Lodge St. Michael No.38 for hosting the competition and the ladies for providing a fine buffet.

PGL Angling 2023
After a challenging days fishing at frandy fishery the winners of the 2023 angling Competition were Bro's Ian McGregor and Mike Carry of Lodge Tay & Lyon No.276 with a bag of 8 fish for 17lb 7oz.The heaviest fish weighing in at 2lb 14oz was caught by Bro. Graham Milroy also of Lodge 276.

PGL Angling 2022
The result of today's PGL Angling Competition for The Breachaich Trophy was as follows.
Winners were Alan Brock and Don McPherson of Lodge St. Michael No.38.....Again! Congratulations, I think that's 3 years running. You should get to keep the trophy!
The best individual basket outwith the Winning Pair was Ian MacGregor of Lodge Tay & Lyon No. 276.
The best fish outwith the Winning Pair and Best Basket was SPGM Martin Cockburn. Well done Bubbles, who said you never win?
Sadly only three Lodges and the PGL took part but at least every competitor caught fish.
Our thanks go to Don McPherson of Lodge St. Michael No.38 for making the arrangements and to the SPGM for officiating.
Hopefully next year will see a return to a normal number of competitors.

Crabbie Bowling 2021
After a great day's bowling and a bit of coaching from the PGL team in the first game, congratulations to Lodge Ben Ledi No.614 on taking the Crabbie Bowling Trophy back to Callander. Thanks also to Derek Cramb, Dave Mcinally and all the guys from No.38 not forgetting Avis and Mo for making the event happen . Great to be socialising again
PGL Angling 2021
A successful day for the PGL Angling competition today at Loch Frandy Fishery. A total of 42 fish caught, the winning team was Don Macpherson and Alan Brock from Lodge St.Michael No.38. Heaviest fish was won by Mike Carry, Tay & Lyon No.276 which weighed in at 2lb 9oz.
A big thank you to Don MacPherson for organising the competition and Frandy Fishery for hosting it once again
Thomson Golf 2021
A great day was had at this years Provincial Golf competition at St. Fillans golf club
Many thanks to all who participated, everyone had a great time despite the poor weather to start off.
Congratulations to Bro's Calum Ross and Mark Bacon of 269 for winning the Thompson Trophy and to Bro's David Thomson and Morgan McDonald from Fife for winning the visitors prize
Longest drive was won by Callum Ross of 269 and nearest the hole by Sandy Campbell No. 614

The PGLPW Thomson golf competition took place on Saturday 19th September at Callander Golf Club under glorious conditions. The United Lodge of Dunkeld No. 14 comprising Martin McCaffrey and Ken Newton secured the trophy with net 63 with Lodge St Michael No. 38 running them close second with net 64. All in all it was a great day out in the sunshine and a few £££'s raised for charity. Well done to Sandy Campbell and John Bryce for organising and we all look forward to next year

PGL Angling 2020
Ten teams took part in this years PGL Angling Competition at Loch Frandy Fishery hosted by Lodge Blairhoyle No.792. The Winner of the Breaclaich Trophy was Lodge St. Michael No.38's Team B consisting of Don MacPherson and Alan Brock
The heaviest fish was a cracking Brownie caught by Steve Manion of The United Lodge
of Dunkeld No.14 weighing in at 5lb 4oz
The raffled Bottle of Talisker was won by Andrew Watson of Lodge Breadalbane St Fillans No. 815.
Crabbie Bowling Competition 2019
Seven Lodges took part in this years competition at Crieff Bowling club and at the conclusion of an excellent afternoon of Bowls the home team from Lodge St.Michael No.38 came out top with last years winners Lodge St.James No.171 being runners up. Team Skip Dave MacInally is pictured receiving the Crabbie Trophy from PGM roger Bullard (Who played bowls for the first time) and with the rest of his winning team - Alan Miller, Garth Wilson and Raymond Cramb
Perthshire West v Stirlingshire Bowls
Six rinks of bowlers played at the inaugural Perthshire West v Stirlingshire bowls match at Spittal Mayer Bowling Club, Stirling and a great afternoon was enjoyed by all the players.
Overall Winners were The Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire with 105 shots to Provincial Grand Lodge of Perthshire West's 70 shots.
The Provincial Trophy was presented by Mrs Barbara Hamilton to Brother Brian Wright WSPGM of Stirlingshire. Sen PGC P Nieto presented Mrs Hamilton with a token of thanks from the assembled company.
Next years tournament will be held in Doune Castle Bowling Club.

Provincial Angling 2019
Seven Lodges took part in this years competition at Loch Frandy and at the close The Breaclaich Loch Trophy was won by Lodge Blairhoyle No. 792. Second by a short fin was Lodge Breadalbane St. Fillans No.815 and third by a small scale were Lodge Tay & Lyon No.276.
The best fish was taken by non other than PPG Sec Bro. Martin Cockburn.
Bro. Gary Thompson PGDM presented the trophy along with a suitable bottle for the Lodge to celebrate with and Martin received a similar token to toast his best fish.
Thanks to Lodge Tay & Lyon for making the arrangements and all anglers look forward to our Brethren in Thornhill informing us where and when the 2020 competition will be held.
Morris Curling 2019
Six Lodges competed for the Morris Curling Trophy at Dewars Rinks this Year with Lodge Bailie Nicol Jarvie No.1036 emerging victorious once again. Lodge St.Michael No.38 won the trophy for closest game
Frame Bowling Trophy 2018
The annual East v West bowling competition took place at Aberfeldy Bowling Club on Sat 25th August. After an enjoyable afternoon sadly the East came out as victors and retained the Frame Trophy. The Ferguson Cup, presented to the best team from the West went to a mixed Triple from Lodges No.14 and 657. Our thanks go to Lodge Breadalbane 657 for organising the event.

Thomson Golf Trophy 2018
PGLPW golf took place on Saturday 18th August at Callander Golf Club. Teams from Lodges 14, 38, 269, 614 & PGL Perthshire East took part.
A great days golf was had by fourteen players with the Thomson trophy being retained by Lodge Ben Ledi No 614 (local knowledge...??) with runners up from the United Lodge of Dunkeld No 14.
Top golfer was Bro Craig Hindle No. 614 with runner up Bro Ken Newton No.14.
The Thomson trophy hasn't been played for a couple of years due to lack of numbers so great to have it back this year. Many thanks to Bro Sandy Campbell for organising this years event and we all look forward to see No. 614 defend the trophy next year.

Crabbie Trophy 2018
Nine Lodges were represented at the Province bowling competition this year. At the conclusion of a very hot afternoon's bowling Lodge St.James No.171, Doune retained the Crabbie Bowling Trophy by defeating Lodge Dunblane No.IX in the final. Thanks go to Dave Mcinally for organising the event, the ladies for a lovely meal and Crieff Bowling Club for the use of their facilities.
